The JET Method of stringing combined with L-TEC Premium strings provide
players with an equipment advantage delivering the best possible
on-court results. By stringing with the JET method, stringers are able to preserve the limited elasticity of the copoly strings which creates a more uniform stringbed and maintains tension/playing properties for an extended period of time.
By exceeding the elasticity limits (usually just 1% - 2%) of L-TEC, (or almost any copoly string), the performance characteristics will be severely damaged or completely removed from the string before it ever reaches the court. The JET Method makes every conceivable effort to eliminate the risk of exceeding the elasticity limits during the installation of the strings.
The JET Method of stringing produces a stringbed that is extremely consistent and entirely predictable. Using L-TEC strings and tension measuring tools, it is possible for a JET trained stringer to string to a specific stringbed tension. This tension, once reached, will be maintained for an extended period of time, usually until the string breaks or the efficient playability limit is exceeded. Copolys strung using traditional methods tend to suffer from significant tension loss and do not offer the same level of responsiveness found in L-TEC Premium strings strung using the JET Method.
