About Our Synthetics
L-TEC Premium Synthetics are specifically designed to be used as cross strings with copoly mains at tensions lower than traditional synthetics.
Until L-TEC entered the marketplace poly/synthetic combinations were comprised of poly based mains with either a solid core or multi core synthetic gut offering. The strings were often paired together to achieve the effect of added touch and increased feel, but they were never conceived to work in unison with one another. This resulted in hybrids that in many cases performed well for a brief period of time and then faded quickly as well as some that were average at best.
L-TEC offers 3 synthetic gut strings that have been specifically conceived and designed to work as cross strings with copoly mains. Each of our synthetic offerings are completely unique and remarkably innovative from a design standpoint. The core is constructed in a manner similar to squash string specifications with modifications being made to allow respectable durability when paired with copoly mains. The result is a new breed of synthetic string that offers tremendous feel and reaches full playing potential at much lower tensions than traditional tennis synthetics/multis.
The L-TEC Premium Gut is the most dynamic of these offerings. The performance/feedback/feel is remarkably similar to natural gut.
L-TEC Premium WOW, is a soft solid core that pairs ridiculously well with all the copolys in the line. Everything about this string is unique from the grey/dark twist cosmetics to the lively performance and unique sound it produces off the stringbed. The name "Wow" was given based on initial playtester reaction to this string.
L-TEC Premium FLX is another soft solid core that comes in black and natural colors. Similar specs to the L-TEC Wow, but a little thicker in diameter and slightly more durable.
